I had wanted to dye this shirt purple for a friend. It was a good sample to test out how logwood would work with a 100% viscose shirt.
Also, this week I looked a lot at the sunflowers which seem to be growing quite tall.
The Freedom Quilting Bee from Alabama will be doing a three day workshop with us and we began to prepare for it by setting up a tent and also getting a lot of dyestuff ready.
A week or so before we had scoured and mordanted many swatches of fabric to prepare for the workshop. This way we wouldn’t take up too much time doing those steps because we mostly wanted to do the dyeing with the Freedom Quilters. We separated and labeled the colors that we would be creating.
